In spite of the many economic and other turbulences in the region, Meirc maintained its dynamic presence for the past 55 years and kept growing at an accelerated pace. The prevailing spirit of excellence at Meirc was initiated by its founder Simon Siksek who always maintained that “we are here to develop the human resources of the region and to serve our clients’ needs”. This philosophy has been passed on from one generation to the next and is still implemented by Meirc’s present leadership and its dedicated employees.Meirc strives to cultivate competence through continuous research and innovation and to prove worthy of the confidence invested in it by its clients.

Chairman
Over the decades, Meirc Training & Consulting succeeded and prospered because of its people and their ability to work as a team. Together, we worked hard, continuously and patiently, to maintain and sustain unique competitive advantages that are difficult for our competitors to copy.Inspired by the vision of our founder, Mr. Simon Siksek, the guiding principle was always on the "quality of customer service", and on "meeting or exceeding the needs of our clients".
Today, we continue to prosper because of the following:
  • Our People: At Meirc, it takes a long time before the right talent is hired. Often our people are multicultural by education and work experience. Furthermore, Meirc strongly believes in continually investing in the development of its employees.
  • Our Research: Meirc bases much of its training material and philosophy on indigenous research on management and leadership in the Middle East and North Africa.
  • Our Succession Plans: Critical to our success is the attention paid to the selection, development, and succession planning of our top leaders.

Working patiently and creatively on these three areas (people, research, and succession planning) will serve our firm well for many years to come.

The essential keys to self improvement and motivation

1. INSPIRATION.
Inspiration is critical to staying motivated and improving oneself. If you are not interested in your business, your motivation level will never be high and you will not be able to sustain interest for very long.
Take an honest look at your inspiration level. Are you excited about going to work or is it an obligation? You would be surprised at the number of people who choose a business that looks good on paper, but in reality does not interest them in the least.
These individuals will grow weary and uninterested pretty quickly because they have no inspiration or passion to sustain them during the difficult times they will encounter as a small business owner.
If you do not like your work, then think how you can re-focus your small business to better match your needs. Or consider making a change entirely. Without inspiration, there will not be motivated to even try self improvement.
2. SETTING GOALS.
Short and long-term goal setting is vital for any business owner. If you do not set goals, you would have no definite purpose on which path of self improvement to take.
